full tummy

Anniston took to the bottle today like a champ!  We were able to give her three feedings in a row this afternoon, and she guzzled about 3/4 of each bottle!  The nurse said that it's great when babies take in half that much after heart surgery...In other words:  She did AWESOME!!  They also took out her cannula (you can see that she still has the big, round stickers on her face that held it in place...we decided to let the nurse take them off and deal with Anniston screaming afterward :)), so we're down to her feeding tube through which the remainder of her bottle is
given and her IV!

She likes being in her little burrito...

The nurse also said today that Anniston may be ready to move to a step-down room in the next couple of days where we can have more one-on-one time and privacy while we learn better how to care for her on our own!

**I heard earlier today that Hadassah's surgery went great and that she is in recovery!!  God is so good!!**

Awe... beautiful report and pictures! The step down room is so exciting b/c that means all of you will be home soon!

Hadassah is doing well. I just read her report and saw pictures on facebook. The picture brought tears to my eyes b/c she has a breathing tube too, but she will be fine soon. Please continue to keep her recovery process in your prayers.

We love you!

Lindsey, How precious the pictures are! My heart rejoices when I realize that you guys have been away from home for so long and under such stress, yet you are still praising God for each new day, and the progress little Anniston is making. Every time I hold our Anniston, I think of you and hope that one day the two girls might meet. Keeping you in our prayers that you will be going home very soon. Peggy Johnson Sparta Tn

Such a beautiful sight when you're heart baby is well enough to eat with a bottle. It took Mackynlee a little longer to get to that point. I am glad everything is looking good for all of you. She is so precious. We are still praying for all of you. Where are ya'll staying? Have you found Samson street? There were several good places to eat there. Our favorite was The New Deck Tavern.
