sweet moment

Stan just sent me these pics of him getting to hold Anniston for the first time today!

He also got to change her diaper, and because she's not as strapped down as she was, Anniston was able to hold his finger while laying on her "pod" as they call it.

He said he wouldn't let anyone else hold her so that I can
be next :).

Anniston's surgery will be Friday morning, and my doctor is very pleased with how well I am doing, so I will be able to fly out with my parents bright and early tomorrow morning!  We are so thankful that my healing has been so speedy!  Seriously, my doctor came in this morning and was sincerely shocked to see that I had been walking a lot, that I'm just taking Ibuprofen for pain, that my incision looks perfect, that I've been eating solid foods, that I'm able to pump every few hours, etc, etc...  I know this could have been much worse, so I just want to thank God for His grace during this time.  (I'm resting too, I promise!)

Stan filled me in on the surgery, and there is much involved that I probably cannot accurately explain, but basically, things look the same as they did in Jackson, and the procedure is relatively straightforward while still being complicated.  Be praying that everything goes even more smoothly than the doctors could anticipate.  Also, there was some talk today of a chance that Anniston could need another surgery at some point in the future because her Aorta is very small at the place where it comes out of the heart, so pray that this will be a one-time event and that she will have no further complications with her heart.

Thanks!  I wish I could do better replying to texts and phone calls, but I will for sure try to do my best with updating everyone
here :)...

These pictures are precious! Anniston already has her daddy wrapped around her little finger! How sweet that Stan would not let anyone else hold her. Know that you are in our prayers. We will pray for safe travels, wisdom for the doctors and healing, among many other things. God has already done so many amazing things and I can only imagine what else he has in store!

Please know we have been and will continue to pray for ALL of you. You have the biggest prayer warrior I know praying....Wesley! And with all you have going on, you found time for him. You guys are INCREDIBLE! Remember..God gives special kids to special parents, for a reason! Then again, all kids are special aren't they? Your life has been, and will be, so much more blessed than you can imagine. We are here and we are praying faithfully for all of you! Much love, David, Rachel, Wesley and Aaron

Lindsey,

I am so glad you are doing so well. You and your precious family have been in my prayers. Your baby girl is an angel. I pray that you will have a safe travel to PA tomorrow and that the Lord will guide the doctors hands as they perform surgery on Anniston and He will bring them wisdom and give you and stan peace in knowing the Lord is in control. Remember, He loves Anniston even more than we do!

What a GREAT man to remember that Anniston's Mom needs to be the next one to hold her. That is as it should be and he is protecting that place for you. We are praying for you all and trusting God's plan.

Stan & Lindsey and Anniston,

I found this scripture and it sounded like it was just for you.

"Praise be to God and Father of our LORD Jesus Christ, the father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
2 Cor. 1:3-4
You are constantly in our Prayers.
We love you,

Hi Stan and Lindsey. I am a heart mom from Marion County. Ms. Debbi that works with Stan gave me your blogspot. Your story sounds so familiar to ours. Dr. Shores is our heart doctor. We too delivered at UMC at 37 weeks, flew to Philly on Wed. and had heart surgery on Friday. We were in Philly for four weeks. Our baby is 13 weeks old now and doing good. Our doctor was Dr. Gaynor. My carepage is www.carepages.com BabyBedwell. If you have any questions, I may can help. You can message me on my carepage or my email is markbedwell@bellsouth.net.
We are praying for all of you.
Heart hugs, Susan Bedwell

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. -Romans 5:1-2

I am praying for you constantly! I love you girl!

I'm loving that hubby of yours for that comment about your holding Anniston before anyone else. :) Praying, believing, and looking forward to testifying to the miracle of Miss Anniston's surgery and recovery. Thanks again for keeping the faith.

I do not know either of you but stumbled across your story on Carrie Tomlinson's blog. I wanted to let you know I am praying for you guys. I recently became a parent myself (8 weeks ago) and can't imagine what you are going through. I hope you find comfort in knowing the Lord will guide you through this time.
