too cozy?

A couple pics from today in normal baby clothes!:

We've had some gassy smiles lately too :)

Not much news to share.  We're still waiting for the infection in the top of her incision to get better.  I guess I haven't said much about the wound from her surgery...the bottom half looks absolutely flawless, but somehow, the top of her incision didn't hold together very well.  Truthfully, I haven't really been able to look at it much, but the doctors say that it is improving.  Once this upper part of the wound produces a scab, we should be able to return home.  There must be a reason we're still here!

Thank you everyone for your sweet e-mails and comments!  Much love to you all!!

Awe... she looks so pretty and sweet in her pink clothes! Thanks for posting these. I love looking at ALL her pictures and I also look forward to the day when I can cuddle her in my arms. Notice I said "cuddle" instead of "cradle" b/c I intend on snuggling her up real close when I see her. :)

I miss you two very much too! :)

I know that you are enjoying every minute with her. Believe it or not, these days are just a blip in time, even though it doesn't seem like it right now. I know how hard it is to see your child go through something like this. I've always heard that you don't hurt for yourself like you hurt for your child and it is so true. Just stay faithful to God and He will see you through this. Keep posting pics. I check on you guys often. I will give an update at church for our prayer list. I'm not nearby, but let me know if you need anything. Oh, by the way...she is BEAUTIFUL!!!

Can you imagine getting all the way home and then developing an infection? God's perfect timing is in Everything! even unwanted infections.

Hi...I happened to find your blog last night while trying to research Interrupted Aortic Arch. I've been looking for something the last few weeks just to give me comfort since we found out our son has IAA durning the last trip the the Cardiologist.

We found out that he has a VSD durning an ultra sound in February. From there we were referred to a different Dr two hours away and Pediatric cardiologist. This has been a emotion roller coaster ride for us. Until May 19th we thought it was only a VSD then they "thought" they seen a Double Outlet Right Ventricel (DORV). On June 2nd they didn't mention the DORV but thought they were seeing an Intruppted Aortic Arch.

We are secheduled for a C-Section Monday, June 22nd. We've already been told that he'll go straight to NICU and start tests as soon as he is stable. Reading your blog has really given me hope that everything will be ok. I've had a great comfort this whole time that everything will work out. I know that's my faith in God and everyhing is in his hands.

I hope that everything will continue to go well for you all and you'll get to bring home your beautiful baby girl soon. I'll keep you in our prayers too.

AMEN, Lora! We are so grateful the infection was caught early here instead of us finding out on our own once we got home!

And, Jamie, my heart breaks for you. I know somewhat what you must be feeling, but I can tell you firsthand that God has an amazing plan for you in all of this even though you maybe can't see or comprehend it right now. I know we are still in the middle of this, but I can already see how God has used our situation to bring us so much closer to Him. I pray that your c-section goes amazingly well and that you heal quickly! I also pray and believe that your baby boy is going to be healed and home in your arms very soon. Thank you for letting me know your situation...I will keep praying and would love to answer any questions you might have.

With love,

She is so beautiful! I am glad she's in her sweet little clothes instead of hospital attire! Praying y'all get to go home soon!

Thanks for those kind words Lindsey. I'm so thankful that I found your page last night. I've been searching for someone that has gone through the same thing.

I think God did bring us together because I came home from church last night and began looking again. I'll keep your family in our prayers and follow your progress. I pray that God will heal both our babies. I've said the whole time that it's all in his hands.
